No matter what is said about you
Some like me are going to miss you
So touched by you too
Because it could not have been easy
To go through all you'd been through
To keep the soft heart inside of you
And to keep the child alive inside of you
To find the courage to live the life you did
To love your children so, while you kept your pain hid
There are little words to express
The complication of your life
More than most could bear or guess
But its your music and your gifts
We'll remember best
They'll last long after your body is put to rest
But of your contribution to the world
Thank you for your striving and for your art
Among the mavericks before you
You were a quiet one, who stands apart
But one of the very best
Many will miss you so much
And seeing your story unfold now
Know that to witness it all
To feel your gentle gifted spirit
They have been truly blessed
Your soul now released
Your heart still among us
Forever rest!
