Method Acting Cabinet Poem by Pierre Rausch

Method Acting Cabinet

It was a strident tone
Impossibly cluttered spaces
Ripen speeches and disbelief
Winding down on your stool
I am here and listen
You're the conductor of the lorry
Noise, oil, power in the prison
Or describe it to you
A whole generation in that case
In the midst of that barn
A dove over the head
She flies down and sits
And sits down on your shoulder
Like you're the captain of a pirate ship
Who has his parrot on his shoulder
So you're a little airport
Where birds land and start
No landing strip
And yet it works
Other physic laws, same result
In open mouthed amazement
