Memory's Stage Poem by Fuad Rifka

Memory's Stage

Across memory's stage
Faces pass by
Behind an iron curtain
They spin spider webs.

But from within the body's darkness
At the sacred moment of silence
One face peeks out,
Approaches,
Settles in the eye,
And in the heart's sky,
Becomes the stars.
