Memory Poem by Ragy Sandid

Memory

Rating: 4.0

Memory floats
And becomes colors
On the canvas of the sky
A stroke there or here
Sometimes hard
Sometimes shy

As I reach a hand
To wipe the wet paint
Not my tears
I create a smudge
Not a sight to see
Nor a song for one's ears

I want the sky
Two colors
Gray and blue
Gray for clouds and cobwebs
Dusty and done
Blue for true

Memory is the painter's picture
The sky is the seer's eyes
Both don't mix in a mind
But sky is the sun in the morning
Rain in the evening
Fixed with many things assigned

So is memory now a pet
Tomorrow a raging tiger
Both a caged animal within
Where is the wild
Where are the prairies
Is memory out or in?
