Memories Poem by Brian Stafford

Memories

Rating: 5.0

Today I lost some memories,
on my way back home,
I think I went and left them,
just lying there on a bench,
It's not that I don't remember,
It's just that I don't recall,
I wonder who ever found them,
Paused at my recollections,
Did they give a second thought,
Or did they just erase them,
As if they never was,
And did they really care,
Oh how could I forget them,
When they meant so much to me,
I can't believe my memories,
really ended up that way,
Maybe I should remember,
Or was it just to late in the day,
Is the shape of things to come,
Or just a loss of memory in the sun.
