Memento Mori Poem by Matthew Buchwald

Memento Mori

Across the bridge of time,
Where past and present,
Future and eternity
Seem all as one,
I saw memory enchained,
By a great boulder weighted down,
Struggling to free itself
And helplessly sighing
At each traveler passing by,
As if to make one pause
Could spare it of some grief.
