Today when I went to sea shore it was rainy season
Majestic waves in its ecstasy remind me of some one

Heard wind talking to waves
What happened to those lovers
Not seen them for years since long

Rain clouds did pass by but did not rain
Why the dark clouds hide the moon in the night?

When seen ice-covered mountain and lake
Oh singer; why do not you sing song of life?

Have you not heard the boatman in moving boat?
Lost in his melodious song giving company to waves

The one who had promised to come never came
But my wait will be there for eternity yes; infinitely

Waiting is there for ages and will ever remain
Alas! Never came; neither in dreams nor in life.
