Meka Peeka - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Meka Peeka - Lincoln Park Zoo

Pygmy slow loris, Meka, is
Playing a game of peek-a-boo,
And knows that in her hiding biz,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
She's got advantage of dim light
That glows in reddish tint so that,
Since she's a lady of the night,
She's comfy in her habitat.
So Meka makes her choice to hide
In a round tube, just fits her size,
And she waits patiently inside,
Looking out with her great big eyes.

To find Meka, A human must
Wait a while for eyes to adjust.
