Me & The Caged Bird Poem by Guess Who

Here we go again
It happened all under the rain
My old questions driving me into pain
I still have that feeling driving me insane

I always look out to the sky
Think i would find you up high
But Oh my! Oh my!
Seems like you can't even fly

Why didn't you say that from the beginning
For you, I was always searching
I wanted to bring you home with me the evening
Never mind you will no longer be the Caged Bird

Can't you see what i feel
When Time passes by
Without me being at your side
Can't you see it happening weekly

I come to you to stay
Sometimes you push me away,
But when i am there,
You really do seem to care.

I just need you to smile
So i could read your mind for a while
But think i would find a whole pile
Of sadness from the first mile

Another question i ask daily
Is what do you really think of me,
Is there more to what we could be?
Can i somehow live peacefully?
