Mccornack Homesteaders Poem by John McCornack

Mccornack Homesteaders

Slowly the great wheel of life continues to turn
Oklahoma became home for the McCornacks
Grandpa came in a covered wagon from Kansas
Grandma came on a train from North Carolina

They all settled near Lighting Creek in OKC
Some how, some way, they all meshed together
They build their homes and raised families
And later became the McCornacks of Oklahoma
