Maybe Think Twice Poem by Ray Hansell

Maybe Think Twice

I need to find
A better way
As I walk through
Another day

I could be friendlier
With people that I greet
Have a cordial greeting
When we chance to meet

People always tell me
I'm a little gruff
They say around the edges
I'm a little more than rough

But I always tell them
That's just me just being me
You just keep on walking
If you don't like what you see

I'm not going to change my ways
Not this late in life
So, if you should see me
Before you speak maybe think twice
