May My Roots Grow Deeper

May My Roots Grow Deeper

In the spring...
May my roots grow deeper
Nurtured by Mother Earth
Cradled in her bosom
Blessed by her tears of rain
Till strength is set ashore

Tested then by Father Time
Seasoned in his hands
Warmed by the daylight
and sheltered from the darkness
So begins the spring and...
May my roots grow deeper

Lil sis as Thad has said before me your roots grow deeper with every poem that you write. This is a lovely warm embracing poem that I just loved. Another gem to your collection. Top marks and thanks for sharing it. Big Bruv

A splendid poem JoAnn! Love it! As your roots grow deeper each poem you write, another flower for us blooms bright! !
