Matter Of Perception Poem by Paul Sebastian

Matter Of Perception

You cast your eyes on the mud
But I cast my eyes on the stars
You only saw glass half-empty
But I saw it as half-full
You saw the weeds
I saw the flowers
You heard noisy kids
But I heard children’s laughter
Your fears keep you nights awake
But for me, my dreams keep me awake
You work at a job
But I work on my passion
You work in desperation
But I work with inspiration
You have reasons why it can’t work
But I have reasons why it will work
You see suffering as your karma
But I go through fire to come out gold
You live your past in the present
But I live my present here and now
You dwell in the negatives
But I live in the positives

Life is how you choose to see it
Life is how you want to live it

Each line of the poem uncovers a new truth and unravel a new mystery of life. One of the loveliest poems I have read: You see suffering as your karma But I go through fire to come out gold
