Marriage Is A Graveyard Poem by Kevin Patrick

Marriage Is A Graveyard

Rating: 5.0

Marriage is a graveyard
where love can vainly die
If hard work and commitment
are sold for lusts and lies

Courtship is a car crash
if your looking for shortcuts
and children are the nails
that keep the coffin shut

Such a brilliant poem dressed in a fantastic title... liked your first stanza the most. A prudent and perceptive composition.

Oh it can be bliss! provided both parties are committed to the same endeavors and persuits and are not selfish. Problem is people run into marriage looking for the good times and check out for the bad

Your words are so very true. The drive of this is not so easy...wise decisions make it run smoothly. we need to nurture it not just fetch it. An insightful poem. Thank-you.
