Marriage Poem by Koena Mokoena

I believe marriage is important
because it made me to be who i am
I am 24 years old this year
so you can imagine my parents as they are married
& this proves a point about the importance of marriage
because i was raised by them
If it wasn't for them i wouldn't be a man
In marriage we have respect, support, advice
fight, hate, tolerance, peace, & dignity
I am proud of my parents
because they have proved a point that marriage can be successful
because they have been married for more than 20 years
I believe this is an example to us the youth,
to believe that anything is possible
I remember when i was young i made a choice to be the famous rapper, entrepreneur & community development worker
because i fight for the kids, youth & elders in the community
Hence, i lost my love from parents
relatives & favourate friends, because they thought i was crazy
So, i hope you will appreciate me from who i am
