Marmite Poem by Alc Harris

Marmite

Rating: 5.0

I read in the dailies
Marmite on toast is a work of art
sculpted and shaped
to appear almost lifelike.
in a vain attempt to replicate,
my chosen celebrity became more
like an effigy of Jesus
with a chocolate milk moustache
whom I just couldn’t bring myself to devour

You either hate it or you love it, so the advert goes. There's nothing better first thing in the morning than a lovely buttery Marmite toast. Especially when shared with a loved one. Mine never turns out a work of art - just looks like Marmite on toast! But have you noticed the colour is a bit paler? Or have I got a duff jar? Love, Fran xx
