Many Roadways Of Life Poem by Francis Duggan

Many Roadways Of Life

The roadways of life he has been up and down
The balding gray haired old bloke from the far away town
Eight times a grandfather divorced from his wife
He is carrying on in his journey in life
In his working life one who worked hard for his pay
He will become an octogenarian in May
In life he has known of a far better day
I am too old for love and for women he does say
In the park walking his black labrador him i sometimes does see
He always does smile and say good day to me
Any nostalgia he has had for his first hometown he has outgrown
In his bungalow with his canine friend he lives on his own
Many roadways of life he has been upand down
On his journey that took him from the far away town.
