Malaria How Might I Kill You? Poem by Terence George Craddock

Malaria How Might I Kill You?

Rating: 5.0

Malaria kills dead...
near half a million people a year
rich first world...
countries predominantly do not care?
Mosquito-borne...
diseases kills over a million people a year
safe born...
distance western world far away largely does not care?

Mild malaria... non-fatal symptoms
typically include tiredness
sweating
fever upset stomach emptying
vomiting
headaches.

Severe malaria...
signature marks
yellow skin
seizures
coma
death.

malaria loves...
poverty Africa suffers
93% of cases
94% of world
death.

Alternative version of the poem 'Malaria Mosquito Thirst Blood Seekers' by the poet Terence George Craddock.
I was going to write a poem 'Who Is Afraid Of The Coronavirus' but media, tech giants, governments and political leaders were political spin manipulating data; using spun data for political gain, profit news headlines, while disinformation was spreading like a plague and public fear, was sown into society; so instead I decided to write about a forgotten deadly killer malaria.
