Mahatma
My motherland has the father of the nation
And that is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi;
Hey Ram were the divine words his praying lips
Aloud chanted before his last breath;
The Mahatma is also lovingly called Bapu and Gandhi ji;
Maintaining self-reliance and non-violence was
Always the harmonious slogan of that advocate of peace.
