Magnetic Cohesion Poem by Diana van den Berg

Magnetic Cohesion

Their rendezvous was
by mistake as planned
and aftershave and perfume
matched each other
in laughter and ecstasy
in hypnotising eye caresses
and skin speak
which stroked the bound carriers
and he knew
in his bones,
no matter his pat-flecked cinder talk
that she only had eyes
and arms
and thoughts
and lips
for him.
