I was so happy to hear your song
as we travelled the road together.
Over the hills and down in the dales
each journey as sweet as ever.

We enjoyed many places of interest
I remember the Bridge over the Tamar
built by Brunel ~ one of the best.
Oh, beautiful Devon and Cornwall.

I couldn't wait to sit by your side
in the sunny September weather
enjoying an Indian Summer ride.
I prayed our love would last forever.
