Made Me Smile Poem by Ray Hansell

I finally heard from her
But it's been a while
It really doesn't matter
Because her words made me smile

They were well crafted
As they usually are
I got so excited
I reached for the stars

It seems like it had been forever
But in reality
The last time she wrote
Wasn't too long ago you see

It just seems like a long time
Because we always want to hear
From someone that you care for
When they aren't near

So, until the next time
When I read you when you write
Always wear that smile
That shines so nice and bright
