Lucid Dreaming Poem by Justin Reamer

Lucid Dreaming

I fall asleep,
To find myself in a different state—
A state that is different
From the conscious.
I am in a different world,
A different realm,
As if I am high on drugs,
Yet I believe I am dreaming,
But it seems all so real.
I am in an alternate reality,
A different part of my mind—
A sort of inception, if you will,
To escape it.
Yet, I do not realise,
My dreams are premonitions
That presage the future
In many ways
And will change my life
As I sleep mechanically,
In this relaxation state.
