Love's A Game Poem by Karen Montegrande

Love's A Game

I remember the way we were,
The ups and downs we shared together,
I remember how you cared for me,
I remember how you used to love me,
But happiness can end that easy,
Love could fade and it goes away when we‘re still not ready,
And it hurts so bad we can't get over it that fast,
Because form the beginning we thought it would really last,

I remember the way you hold me,
But I never knew it would end slowly,
And I never expected it to happen so fast,
When it was that fast I met you,
it ended you losing you so quickly than I knew,
But I never really had you,

What I realize is that you only love me as a friend
And I only noticed it right in the end,
I noticed that when you said you hate me,
And I thank you for breaking me,
I thank you for hurting me so badly,
And for pushing me this far,

I've fixed myself with honesty,
The truth hurts but it awaken me,
That loving someone is paired with pain,
It can drive you insane but it's only you to blame,
People treat LOVE as a WIN or LOSE game.
