Love Has No Name Poem by Carole Moran

Love Has No Name

Love has no name
and it can't be defined
by words or by thoughts of the mind.

It's illusive-a vapor
That's gone with the smell,
So breathe deeply of love and hold well.

Love has no path
Nor a rut for to guide
The searcher who in it would hide.

So stretch forth your hand
And risk all that you own
To find it before time has flown.

Hair, as it lies
On a face with brown eyes.
All one can say of a lover
Doesn't do to explain
The pleasure, the pain
The sweetness, the drowning, the sighs.

Love has no eyes
It can't judge by sight
With love, there's no daytime or night.

It sees with a heart
With a soul that is frail,
And it reads the lover by brail.
