Love From The Grave [2007] Poem by Catherine Beahl

Love From The Grave [2007]

Rating: 5.0

Here is a withered rose,
From me to you,
Picked by my ghostly hands
From a garden full of weeds.

Here is my vow
That I wrote for you
With a feather of a crow, and my own
Crimson blood for ink.

Here is a parcel,
That I brought for you,
From a famine filled town
(Destroyed by the winter floods) .

Here is my love…
Taken from my grave
And ripped into little tiny fragments
By your heart of greed.

Here is my torn body…
The one you burned
On that dreadful night when you lost
Your eternal love for me.
