Love Doesn't Cease In Death Poem by Dhiren Doley

Love Doesn't Cease In Death

Rating: 5.0

The sky knows
How deep is the love of the sea
The sea knows
How wide is the sky's love for her
Detachment is not an obstacle of love
Darkness cannot obstruct affection
Ancient, older than time
The love between the sky and the sea.
No waiting, no grief, no expectation too
The sky knows, the sea too
That togetherness gives pleasure and satisfaction too
But that doesn't mean fulfilment of love
(Love too has a embryonic path)
The sky thinks of coming down through the path of light
The sea thinks of going up through the path of cloud
The sun disagrees, the cloud too; they're pained in discontent too
Yet they hear-
The sky about the sea and the sea about the other
Which way they communicate?
Who brings their news to one another?
While the heart of the sea agitates seeking the sky
While the souls of the sky agitates seeking the sea
The breath of the sea is fast, the sky's too
The troubled breaths are quickened, their path redirected
(From the troubled breaths, is the birth of tempests)
Through the breaths come their messages
Yes, yes, through the troubled of the breaths, it comes
For the breaths are as old as life

Time may stand still
Light may cease
Darkness may change its colour
But ne'er will love between the sky and the sea will change
As love is immortal, affection doesn't end in death
