Did I see you there out the corner of my eye?
On that day when there was a cloud-less sky
Did I hear you call my name as I passed your room?
Or was it something that I hoped for in my gloom
Was it your laughter I heard in a crowded place?
Or was it just a mistake of mine in a state of grace
Were you singing your favourite song in the next car on?
Or was it the end of it all now that you are gone.
