Love & Depression Poem by Minx Videsben

Love & Depression

Rating: 5.0

Heart beating fast
Mind empty and numb

Stomach full of butterflies
Mouth full of white lies

'He's perfect, ' she says
'I'm fine, ' she says

She smiles when he looks her way
She dies when he looks away

'Poor girl, ' they say
'What misfortune, ' they say

He's so distant
She's so persistent

She is so in love
But she is just as depressed

He is so secluded
And just as depressed

Depression often suspends love and if it exists in both it must be very painful. A very good poem.
