Love Crime(6) (Look Can Kill) Poem by U Win Kyi

A young man and his girlfriend
riding on the underground train..hand in hand.
The passengers were too many,
the traffic was too heavy.
The train was so packed,
there was no vacant space left.
Suddenly there erupted a quarrel and fight,
causing among passengers a great fright.
It was between the young man and another man,
with a lot of push, pull, shoving and struggle.
With a dagger, he stabbed
another man to instant death.
He said another man gave his girlfriend a lustful look,
then he killed him and it was no joke.
For life in prison, he was sentenced,
for killing so violent.

Is she unlucky to lose her lover?
Is she lucky to lose her violent murderer?
She will not stay unmarried in her whole life.
He surely would sleep lonely in prison cell every night.
To a new boyfriend she will hop.
In prison until death he will rot.
It is so true that look can kill
sending down the spine a cold chill.
