Love Crawls on My Heart

(a poem by Shakil Ahmed)

I see my faint image
Very often plays in your dark eye balls
A memory that is frozen
In the cauldron of menacing time
Becomes vibrant and alive like olive leaves
When I stand before a mirror
I see my shrunken face with low sobs
That has come here
Ignoring thousand sardonic smiles
Many elusive curve of lips
Often baffled me in devastating nights
Leaving aside all pointless gestures
Straight I stand before you
My cowd face, swelling eyes and oozing tear drops
unfurl my heart in open daylight
A passionate love crawls on my heart
And waits for a cheerful smile
Along with a silent wink
I can't unfold my passion of heart
With luscious jargon
My sinful lips tremble million times
And I start stammering
My heart breaks into pieces
Nobody hears my pitiful wails
Let not calamity come
Snuffing out the flickering candle of love
My passion will never come to an end
I will burry it between endless water and shimmering sand
Looking straight at your dazzling eyes
I will be blind forever.

Studded with expressions of exquisite beauty which reflect the unrequited love of an anxious heart. Thanks, Dear Poet. My cowd face, swelling eyes and oozing tear drops unfurl my heart in open daylight
