soul

if love can be as patient

as the years tease it
as the days drag

try me, if my love is
strong as steel

if my love does not
bend to the fires

of another, if my love
can still love you

despite the distance
and the slowness of time

snail-paced, ask me,
if i can still be myself,

without you.
