| Love | Poem by Aparna Chatterjee

| Love |

Don't beg him
To fall in love
With you…

For, if Almighty God
Cannot love you,
How can a mere
Mortal love you?

If God would have
Loved you…
He would have
Made sure…
Whoever you loved,
Would have loved you
Too…

All your love stories
Would have had
Happy endings…
(with no broken hearts)

But, alas!
God has always been
Swift and savvy…
In breaking hearts.
HE's never been
Dexterous with
Repairs and mendings
