In love together
though poles apart,
needed each other
couldn't live without.

Then came he
gentle and caring,
away went she
losing all bearing.

He couldn't release,
his love shattered,
fawned over to please,
confidence battered.

She was helpless
new love fearless
old love lifeless
fate is merciless.

He felt insecure,
she unaffected,
He couldn't endure,
she had defected.

He looked into her eyes,
and she gave big sighs.
love was there yesterday,
had now gone away.

had an intuition
quite early on,
wasn't imagination
now she is gone.

love began shifting,
as she started drifting.

One had just found
what the other had lost,
love is profound
even at other's cost.
