Lost Years Poem by Abimbola Ogunsowobo

Lost Years

Rating: 5.0

It took me so many years
To regain my sanity
To discover how foolish and childish
I had been
I've toyed with my life at my prime
I'm now begging for time reversal
If I can mend my patches
Oh! What a miserable sweet past
Now I'm old and aged
I have to walk the journey I should have walked
I have to beg for the things I should have had
Oh! Misery...
Youthful age is a trap

" If I can mend my patches" . Life is patchworks of the events that time takes us through. Great poem reflecting on one's life.
