Since you been gone
you left me half alive
alone from dusk to dawn
how will i ever survive
my life will never be complete
you were my better half
if i could make my life repeat
i'd make sure you where always close for me to grasp
keeping you safe is all that i wanted
its like a dream that you departed
now i'm left here broken hearted
our life together had just stared
trying to move forward
but catching myself still looking back
i turn inward
not able to let go, listening to our favourite soundtrack
dreaming of you even when awake
consumed by your memory it's a cycle i can not break
sheltered from the world with just my poetry
alone but not truly alone
i have you still in my head
hearing your voice each time the wind had blown
feeling you beside me when in my bed
waiting for the day we're together again
praying for this to be the day
hoping to not be saved by these firemen
the smoke is filling my airway
looking up to you my love
i'm not missing you anymore
someone grabs me from above
is it you mi amor
another day will come i'm determined to be with you soon
to have some freedom
from this pain, i just want to feel soothed
i can only do that by joining you.
