Lost In Darkness Poem by Kathy Lippard Cobb

Lost In Darkness

Lost in darkness,
Without a tomorrow,
River of tears—
drowning in sorrow,
Harboring guilt,
Hiding in shame,
Wish upon wish,
Blame upon blame.
Desperately searching
for a small patch of blue,
Hoping it leads me back
home to you.
Torturing, twisting my
heart in a bow,
Filling in spaces where
nothing will grow.
