Lost Angel Poem by julie kops

Lost Angel

She speaks ever in silence
her words lost amongst the rush
of darkness bourne on heavy wings
the icy cold of madness touch

in her heart a universe spins
the stars call her name
the earth sings a calming tune
there is peace in the rain

but in her head the world grows dark
no flowers grow at all
she screams into the emptiness
no ear to hear her call

once she had a true voice
and spoke in heavens rhyme
but it was stolen along the way
by the harsh hand of time

if you could hear the song she sings
it echoes with hope still
even in the ghostly silence
she cannot loose free will

she dreams of dancing amongst the stars
lost in dreams true bliss
her feet seldom touch the ground
she spins in solar winds kiss

listen closely dear soul
to the silence in her song
and she will show you galaxies
as she dances you along

maybe if she sees you there
she will once more find her voice
sing to her a song of hope
show her there's a choice

don't let her fly too far away
amongst the star filled night
but don't tie her to the ground
join her there in flight

for when you hear the whisper
of the song that her heart sings
she will show you love immeasurable
you'll see her angel wings
