Losing One's Marbles Poem by Ima Ryma

Losing One's Marbles

The game of marbles started with
Cave people who would ball up clay,
And hone game skills, which be no myth,
Balls are still found in modern day.
Prized objects these 'marbles' became,
Attempting to collect the most
By having great thumb/finger aim.
Winners had good reason to boast.
But for ev'ry winner there be
On or more losers with ill rub.
When marbles were lost completely,
The loser oft would take to club.

'Losing one's marbles' be a phrase
Tracked back to the cave people days.
