Today I remembered
The lessons I learnt
The ones you taught me
And the ones I found out the hard way

Today I remembered I shouldn’t fall
Because falling hurts when u land
And you always land

Today I remembered that the one you re with
Is never as in love with you
As you think he is
today I remembered that men are just men
And that big boys make mistakes too
When they are waiting for the sun

I remembered what it felt to have a shadow overhead
Of another's substance looming at me
Unable to escape the largeness of you

I remembered loving you less when you loved me more
And then suddenly when I had overtaken you and loved you more
It would seem I am doing it yet again
Falling for another, free falling down down
While he waits for the rain to go away

I am his little patch of sunlight
