Looking... Poem by Jeanette Telusma

Looking...

Rating: 5.0

I see you over there
looking cautious as a deer.
You might have thought
you wouldn't get caught.
But you did.

Should I interpret your gaze
as one lost in a daze?
Or should I say it was with intent?
Do I remind you of someone back then?

You see, your intense demeanor
Causes me to feel as a container
filled with sweet lemonade
soon drunk followed by serenade.

Seeing this look before, I'm not furious,
Though not interested, I'm just a bit curious.
