Longtime Waiting Poem by Keith Young

Longtime Waiting

Sitting on a train heading to nowhere
Wondering when I’ll get their
It’s going to be a
Longtime Waiting
What to do
Why wait
We all wait for time to take us away
It’s still a
Longtime Waiting
Hours
Days
Months
Going by
As we stare at the blue sky
As we remember the past
As we wonder what we well become
It’s all a
Longtime Waiting
