Longevity Poem by Franklin J. Warren

Longevity

I do not have much longevity left,
And of intellect this world is bereft,
And with my body getting decrepit and frail,
Convinced there is no holy grail.

i therefore feel my time has come and gone,
And now with aches and pains to the bone,
Have no wish to live much longer,
And hope before long i am a goner.

My eyes are giving me fits trying to read,
My loins no longer develop any seed,
My pleasure center not touched in years,
So dying gives me no fears.

Blessed oblivion will then come to me,
And this ridiculous world no longer see,
So full of stupidity and ignorance,
Along with Hubris and Arrogance!
