LOGIC IN LOVE Poem by Esther Jansma

LOGIC IN LOVE

‘Roses' as a set is different
than that of what are not called roses

just like ‘I' and ‘all roses'. Moving beyond
the bounds of logic, this implies

that the flower must come in disguise if it is
to be with me - for instance I can only

love it in a poem, which a rose is a rose is
something that has long been done

so no set theory here, but one thing is dead
certain: there is room for a simple little

rose and me.
