Locked Down Mistakes Foolish Consequences Poem by Terence George Craddock

Locked Down Mistakes Foolish Consequences

media tech giants governments
political leaders were political spin
manipulating data creating fears

people died of killing cancer listed as covid deaths
people died of old age health issues listed as covid deaths
people shot dead with a bullet listed as covid deaths

if covid was detected in an autopsy
covid might be present but patient did not die of it
but media tech giants governments

using spun data for political gain
using spun data for political spin
using spun data to justify lockdown

yes covid was a pandemic global threat
medical measures needed to be taken
masks social distancing necessary steps

but locking down farmers food producers
letting fruit unpicked rot on orchard trees
letting vegetables in neat rows rot in fields

letting grain wheat barley rot unharvested
letting food rot in containers in ports not moved
letting supply chains stop factories closed

letting needed parts in factories not be made
these were all not wise government created chaos
no one number crunched death by diseases

no one number crunched death by covid starvation
diseases caused by covid policies impacting poor countries
poverty was a stealth death ignored consequence

caused by locked down not producing food producers
caused by locked down citizens lock down home bubbles
caused by locked down mistakes foolish consequences
