Living On The Edge Of Worry Poem by Eugene Michaels

Living On The Edge Of Worry

Living on the edge of worry
tears are not a sign
my stare will always bind us
forever locked in mine

I fear this edge of worry
stalks me within mind
this thing a sinking feeling
deeper by design

Your letters stopped arriving
this silence cuts to bone
on the edge of worry
wings turn into stone

Living on the edge of worry
this worry all my own
living on the edge of worry
wishing you were home.
