Living Life On The Edge Poem by Holly Somer

Living Life On The Edge

I snuck into a rated R movie before I turned the proper age
went to a concert my parents didn't approve of
It was wild I got on stage
I hung with the skater crew till dark jumping tricks untill dawn

Got grounded that morning was punished to mowe the lawn
Although It was worth it in the end
I changed the climax of the story my friends

I lived on the edge
Held my breath and took a risk
while our parents shake their heads and say 'tisk, tisk'
I'm still a teenager going through highschool with a bang
To blow away all the preasure I got on stage and sang
