Live Forever Poem by James Gibbons

Live Forever

Sunshine filters shadows cast by the trees. A pale palette of birch's shedding summers glory.

Their leafless branches black against the skies. Fall announces soft changes from chlorophyll to amber and all shades in between.

A perfect day, softly drifting sky of frothy clouds and a horizon that meets the sea. Encouraged by gentle winds, a lonesome ballet of dancing leaves.

And I will live forever, through eyes that measure time. A glimpse of all tomorrows, forever unfolding days.
