Little ebony flower
let me stroke
your petals
and drink in
your scent.
The forest will pardon
my love
if for just one night
I steal you from her.
I will lay you down
on a bed of grass
dressed with stars
here
where the city lights
can't manage
to mask their smiles
and I will love you
as I've never loved before
whispering fairytales
that were made up just for us
and the forest will pardon me
when I tell her
that I didn't steal you
for just a single night
but for a lifetime.
