Listen Poem by JL Byoll

Listen

It feels like were miles apart,
eventhough your close enough, touching my heart.

I try to reach you,
I try to shout.

But these words won't reach you
because they're not coming out my mouth.

It's inside of me, it's yelling out.
It's my heart's pounding that's searching for a way out.

Even if I'm inches from you,
you can't hear me still.

Maybe you just don't want to listen.
Not letting anyone in, specially this feeling.

I'll do everything to get it through;
I'll find a way for my feelings to get to you.

When you do hear my words and should you not care.
I clearly understand, that which I'm truly aware.

So will you grant a moment to me,
just listen and hear my plea.
